Friday Faves

Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful week. Ours was pretty low-key because I have a lot going on this weekend. I’m getting all of the new Fit Team documents ready to go out next week and we’re also filming Barre Bootcamp 2. Lots of fun stuff on the horizon.

A huge highlight of my week has been seeing all of your amazing check-ins for #HomeWorkoutWarrior! Group encouragement has been so motivating and I love seeing all of your faces and having the opportunity to cheer for each other.

Some of the check-ins this week:

If you guys enjoyed this shorter challenge, please let me know! I’d love to do another week-long challenge sometime soon, and of course, if you’re a newsletter subscriber I’ll continue to send out weekly fitness ideas on Fridays.

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! Here’s where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I love hearing about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments below!

Read, watch, listen:

Don’t forget to check out this week’s podcast episode with Danny from Skin Harmonics!

This poem is absolutely exquisite. Chills all over.

What movie gave you unrealistic expectations of adulthood?

Moira Rose saying, “Bébé” for 60 seconds.

Bridgerton is coming back for season 2. Lemme get my corset ready.

Fitness + good eats:

We spent a day at Mt. Lemmon earlier this week and promised ourselves that we’d do it more often, especially to hike. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous – the dirt and cactus landscape turns to pine trees, patches of snow, and stacked boulders – and it’s easy to forget you’re only an hour away from metro Tucson. We rode the ski lift, which was absolutely terrifying lol, and then ate fudge, cookies from the Cookie Cabin, and lunch before heading back home. (The chili and cornbread were *chef’s kiss.*)

Short and sweaty 15-minute HIIT workout. No repeats!

How “good fat” may protect against chronic diseases.

Exercises for SI joint pain relief.

Hips and glutes mobility.

Fashion + beauty:

If you’re looking for a safer deodorant option, Beautycounter’s launched last week! I’ve been using it for months now. All of the scents are beautiful, but my fave is the rose.

It rained this week (a rare treat in Tucson!) so I got to break out my fave leopard boots.

I keep getting ad targeted for this dress (and I LOVE IT) like I’m not sitting here in baggy sweatpants and Tom’s old squadron t-shirt.

Happy Friday, friends!
